Design

At Expression Custom Pools, we believe our clients are a key part of the process in pool design. This is your opportunity to express yourself and you will participate significantly in the design process. We will make sure the pool of your dreams is a relaxing, stress-free experience.

Design

Layout

After you have approved the final design, an outline of your pool will be painted on the ground so that you may see how the area will look once the pool is finished.

Dig

Digging your pool will be the next step in the process. While it will seem messy, the excess dirt will be removed and Expression Custom Pools will keep the worksite as clean as possible at all times. Expression Custom Pools will be onsite for the entire process. This will make sure that the exact measurements are met and that once completed, the ground is ready for the next process which is steel.

Steel

The steel process is one of the most important steps in the pool building process. The steel forms the backbone of the pool and you can expect to see many bars crossing over one another. Expression Custom Pools ensures that all code requirements are met to ensure a solid foundation.

Plumbing

Plumbing is done in accordance with your pool design specifications. There are several steps to this process depending on the features of your new pool.

Plumbing

Gunite

The next step in the pool process will be Gunite. Gunite is a dry mixture of cement and aggregate that is combined with water at the nozzle, as it is sprayed through a gun at high pressure. To give it strength and durability and so it has a place to adhere, gunite is usually applied over steel mesh or steel. After your gunite has been completed, the pool will need to be sprayed a minimum of twice a day to ensure proper curing.

Tile & Coping

The next step in the process is the installation of your waterline tile and coping. Both tile and coping will be selected by you and will then be installed by hand. Tile and coping should take several days to finish. Once the tile has set securely, you will have a durable, non-porous surface that will last for years. If you have chosen to add a rock waterfall or other natural rock features, Expression Custom Pools installers will place the stones according to your pool’s design specifications. Once this process has been completed the decking crew will come in and start the forming of your deck.

Deck

The next step in the pool building process is the construction of the decking. Depending on the type of decking, the construction time can vary.

Deck

Plaster

The final step in the actual construction process will be the application of the plaster. The plaster is applied and smoothed by hand. Once the plaster is complete, the pool will be filled with water.

Landscape

The landscaping design is as important as the pool itself. Custom designed with your needs and budget in mind, we create the serene, lush atmosphere of the pool of your dreams.
